Custom Database Field Groups
We discovered that when you create a large number of Custom Database Fields is can become confusing to find them and it helps to group them based on common characteristics.
The “Standard Layout” for Records contains three (3) columns of information. Those are, from left to right:
- Personal Information
- Company Information
- Custom Database Fields
The third column can get quite long if you do not organize your Custom Database Fields into groups and it can become hard to find the information you are seeking.
Example: It is common to create a lot of Custom Forms and to use specific Custom Database Fields for some of these forms. You can create Groups for the Forms and organize your Custom Database Fields into Groups that are named after the Forms. This makes it easy to find your information.
